Dental Implants Sydney

Dental Implants in Burwood, Sydney for a beautifully renewed smile

Dental implants are an ideal tooth replacement solution as they are virtually identical to natural teeth in strength, function and appearance. Everyone deserves a beautiful smile and with advances in implant dentistry, there is no need to settle for anything less.

Although revolutionary in restorative dentistry, dental implants are amazing in their simplicity and have a very high, long-term success rate.  They are virtually identical to natural teeth in strength, function and appearance which means they can blend seamlessly with your remaining natural teeth.

Prior to placing your implant, a thorough oral and general health examination is completed which will include a detailed set of x-rays and diagnostic planning.  This will allow us to determine the most suitable options for your implant treatment.  As with all our treatments, you will be consulted and involved in this process the whole way through.

Dental Implant Frequently Asked Questions

Is dental implant surgery painful?

The process of dental implants is usually one which is well tolerated by the majority of patients. It is precise and generally causes minimal discomfort which is well managed by standard pain relief. Each patient is different but most will feel comfortable after 2-3 days. It can be likened to a basic extraction.

Can I get dental implants on a payment plan?

Payment plans are available by  external companies who offer standard terms. In house plans are also possible based on the quantity of treatment and duration.

Are dental implants covered by health insurance?

Each  Health insurance  provider differs in their level of cover and will be based on individual agreements with the health provider. Those with major cover will be entitled to some benefit for the implant and then the crown/teeth on top.

Which dental implants are the best?

Most titanium or zirconia implants will integrate well with the bone. There are countless implant companies however and many differences with each. This included the ability to use special components which can influence the quality and aesthetics of the teeth on top.

It is best to go with a well-established implant brand which has decades of experience and will have parts available long term. This allows any dentist to source the components required many years down the track.

Where are the dental implants made?

They are made all over the word, although  we predominantly use the original first implant brand  Nobel BioCare. These implants are manufactured in Sweden.

What is the cost of dental implants?

The cost of dental implants and the tooth on top differs from surgeon to surgeon. This is based on experience, results, the quality of the implants and teeth and what procedures are done to give long term stability. By his we mean – Is an extraction, bone grafting or gum grafting required?  You also need to take into account how we temporarily replace the tooth while the implant is stabilising in your body before having the final tooth fabricated. A basic implant usually costs from about $6000 but increases based on the complexity of the procedure. This cost includes the  implant and the tooth on top.
