Porcelain veneers treatment process
Initial consultation – Once it is decided that the treatment is the correct option for you, our highly experienced dentists will discuss the treatment in more depth. Answering any questions you may have, they will begin to formulate a unique treatment plan to suit you. During this period, our dentist will discuss with you the correct colour to match your smile, as well as the desired outcomes from your treatment.
Preparation – Finalising the details of your treatment, your dentist will begin preparing your tooth for the veneer to be applied. Removing around 3mm of tooth structure will allow the new veneers to blend in seamlessly with your existing teeth. Once teeth have been prepared, your dentist will send impressions of your teeth off to the laboratory for fabrication. Fabricated locally in Sydney, our veneers are extremely strong and wear resistant.
Bonding – During your second appointment your newly fabricated veneers will be fitted. Your dentist will individually bond each veneer onto your teeth, ensuring each veneer is perfectly suited to your smile. Veneers will be adhered to your teeth using a special form of dental bonding material and treated with a special light. This allows the bonding material to set correctly, ensuring, with the correct care, your veneers will last for a long period.
